Outcome and Results
More doors of opportunity in Singapore have further opened for the team and Forum Group has since delivered a further three events in Singapore, building even stronger relationships with our Asia Pacific suppliers.
As Forum Group organised the very first conference to be held in Chijmes Hall which is essentially a Singaporean church, our client was delighted with our strategies to modernise the infrastructure in order to deliver the corporate event within an iconic building. Incidentally, Chijmes Hall is the church which was profiled in the motion picture film ‘Crazy Rich Asians’. The legendary aspect of the venue having significant appeal in popular culture.
Solution
Through the use of technology and regular communication, our team reviewed and planned the venue layout. Detailed floor plans, visuals and recorded videos walking through the space, enabled us to virtually manage the event and experience the space as if we were there.
To effectively work within the space, Forum Group’s team overcame language and cultural barriers to work creatively devising ways to convert one large space into three distinct smaller areas, one for the main conference, one for a break out room and the registration area all without putting any fixtures in place. The team challenged traditional functionality of the venue by modernising the space and actively bringing in all the audiovisual equipment, internet and wireless infrastructure, electrical equipment, furniture, décor, signage and branding elements required for a corporate conference.
Due to the intricacies of the venue, the team sourced additional external AV equipment into the space. We worked closely with the venue and supply partners to visually and functionally set up the spaces so that the conference was presented without issue. This included working with supplier Media Wall to produce a 10m wide by 4m high double-sided branded structure to separate the breakout areas and a mini voice amplifier with wired microphone headset to enable breakout sessions to be facilitated.
